The 2024 Exhibition
took place from
5th-8th September
Many thanks to all our exhibiting artists, our sponsors and
all the volunteers who helped
put the show together
East Linton Community Association has been showing artworks by local artists since 1968. The annual show is run by volunteers, raising money for the Community Hall and is open to all visual artists over the age of 18.
Presently the Art Committee Members are: Donny Cuthbert, Hilary Fraser, Rosemary Oberlander, Lorna Shearer and Agata McWhirter. If you would like to get involved please get in touch.
The idea of an annual art exhibition was drawn from the village’s former popularity with artists such as Arthur Melville, Robert Noble, Martin Hardie and John Pettie (to name a few) all of whom were born or lived in East Linton. The judges for the first show in 1968 were William G. Gillies and Stanley Wright, former and current Principal of Edinburgh College of Art at the time.
Thanks to the generosity of Eve’s Foundation for the financial prizes for the best artworks. Eve’s Foundation has kindly continued to be our official sponsor for East Linton Annual Art Exhibition/Competition.
